Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) had postponed the launch fixed for September one from Satish Dhawan space Centre (SHAR) at Sriharikota, but was put off by a day due to inclement weather as the launch site was experiencing incessant rains.
An ISRO release said here today that INSAT-4CR satellite has 12 high-power Ku-band transponders designed to provide direct-to-home (DTH) television services, Video Picture Transmission (VPT) and Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) in its board.
The launch campaign was progressing satisfactorily at SDSC SHAR.
The satellite had already been integrated with the launch vehicle on August 24, and it was also moved to the Second Launch Pad at SHAR, Sriharikota, the release added.
