Haryana Women Sports Meet from Sept 22

Chandigarh, Aug 30 (UNI) The Haryana State Mahila Khel Utsav would be organised by Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Department at Panchkula from September 22 to 24.

This was stated by Sports and Youth Affairs Department Directror Sudhir Mohan here today.

He said that 21st State Level Women Sports Meet would be inaugurated at 1030 hrs on September 22.

He said various sports activities to be organised in the meet included Athletics, Gymnastics, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Badminton, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Handball, Volleyball, Basketball and Hockey.

Mr Mohan said a cash prize of Rs 500, Rs 300 and Rs 200 will be given to those who got first, second and third position respectively.

Various teams for National Women Sports Meet, 2007-08 would be selected during this meet.
