Govt to come out with new Textle Policy soon

Bangalore, Aug 30 (UNI) Karnataka Minister for Textiles Appasaheb Pattanashetti today said the state government will come out with a new Textle Policy within two weeks, for creating five lakh jobs in the next five years.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the government would invest Rs 100 crore annually for creating one lakh jobs every year, for youth, in readymade garment sector. A training centre also would be set up to provide training with stipend to the youth.

The government would soon create 56 new posts for implementation of the scheme. The new policy, being given a final touch, would be announced in a fortnight, he added.
