Gangsters confess bringing fake notes from Bangladesh

Hubli, Aug 30 (UNI) Members of a gang, that had allegedly circulated fake notes of Rs 1,000 and were arrested two weeks ago, have confessed to have brought the notes from Bangladesh.

Commissioner of Police N R Nadamani told UNI that a police team visited the places of the arrested in Jharkhand for investigation.

Meanwhile, those arrested told the police that they got the fake notes from Bangladesh and used them while purchasing onions at the wholesale market here.

Further investigation was on. Another police team had left for Jharkhand to trace a person said to be involved in the racket, Mr Nadamani added.
