Farmers agitate against proposed thermal plant

Mysore, Aug 30 (UNI) About 500 farmers of Chamalapura held a dharna on the outskirts of the city protesting against the proposed thermal power plant in their village.

Led by Association of Concerned and Informed Citizens of Mysore (ACICM), they organised road blockade on Bangalore-Mysore highway, throwing traffic out of control for some time.
