Farmers agitate against Chamalapura thermal plant

Mysore, Aug 30 (UNI) About 500 farmers of Chamalapura and near by areas today held a dharna on the outskits of the city protesting against building of a thermal power plant near the village in this district.

Led by association of concerned and informed Citizens of Mysore (ACICM) they staged road blockade by stopping vehicular traffic on Bangalore-Mysore highway throwing traffic out of gear for some time.

The agitators submitted a memorandum.
