Dr Velu presented with 'Rajiv Gandhi Shiromani Award'

Chennai, Aug 30 (UNI) Metropolis Health Services (I) Limited, Director Dr G S K Velu was honoured with 'Rajiv Gandhi Shiromani Award' 2007 by the National Integration and Economic Council for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the healthcare industry.

The award was in recognition of individual contributions and achievements in the field of industry, business, public life, administrative, social, educational and cultural services of organisational growth, a release said here today.

The award function was inaugurated recently by Union Minister of State for Planning M V Rajasekharan, presided over by former Governor (Tamil Nadu and Assam) Dr Bhisma Narain Singh. Dr A R Kidwai, Governor of Haryana and Rajasthan was the Chief Guest of the function.

Dr Velu was qualified in B Pharm with specialisation of Bio-Medical Engineering from BITS, the release added.
