BJP adamant on judicial probe in child death case in HP

Shimla, Aug 30 (UNI) Terming yesterday's incident a constitutional failure, the BJP incharge for party affairs in Himachal and national convener of BJP Legal Cell, Mr Satya Pal Jain today out rightly rejected the Police inquiry into the clash and death of a four year old child from Sarkaghat and said the BJP demands nothing less than a judicial inquiry or a CBI probe into the whole episode.

He asked the government to lodge a murder case into the death of the four year old boy. If the government can lodge so many cases against the BJP. Then why it did not bother to register a case into the death of a child, who came from a poor family. There should be no politics into this case at least, he said.

Mr Jain said the government in its frustration is blaming the BJP for the entire mess. He said the reality is that the entire episode has put a question mark on the functioning of the state government.

The incident is a constitutional failure and the BJP demands the dismissal of the government on that account. If in 1992 December, the then Mr Shanta Kumar government could be dismissed by the centre with just one MLA talking about having a brick from disputed structure in Ayodhya in possession. Then here is a incident, which shows complete collapse of administration under the nose of government.'' Rather, it's the Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh who made the environment provocative by raising slogans and inciting the Congress workers on the spot. Mr Jain said the Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh must realize that Congress is going out of power now and he should not set any such precedence, which makes it difficult for him to tolerate while in opposition for the next five years.

The BJP leader said the space outside Vidhan sabha and Parliament is generally used by the opposition parties for protest rallies and it was for the first time that any government has organized a parallel rally outside Vidhan sabha, encroaching on opposition party's right.
