New Delhi, Aug 30 (UNI) Angry protestors damaged buses and burnt vehicles near a government school in Daryaganj area of Central Delhi this morning after news spread that a teacher was caught 'red-handed' on camera 'trading' a student.

The school teacher allegedly forced school students into prostitution, said the TV report.

Window panes of a Blueline bus were damaged and two other vehicles torched by the mob which protested the alleged 'trading' of girls by Mathematics teacher Uma Khurana of 'Sarvodaya Girls Senior Secondary School' in Mahal Azam Khan area of Daryaganj, according to sources.

Police resorted to a mild lathi charge after the protestoos turned violent and pelted stones at the school and security forces.

Teargas shells were also lobbed to disperse the agitators.

Trouble started at about 1130 hrs after a television channel aired footages of a 'sting operation' showing Khurana 'selling' a Class XI student for a specific amount to an undercover reporter.

According to the TV 'report', the teacher would take nude photographs of girl students who visited her house for tuition after drugging them. She would then coerce them into prostitution threatening to get their photographs published.

Soon after the 'operation' was aired, several parents converged at the school and barged into the principal's room seeking explanation for what was going on.

Meanwhile, a large crowd gathered outside the school shouting slogans against school authorities and demanded arrest of the guilty.

Senior officials could not be reached for their comment.
