AIIMS medics to continue strike, approach court
New Delhi, Aug 30: The resident doctors of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) tonight decided to continue with their strike over the delay in award of degrees to scholars for the past three years.
The decision to continue with the stir was taken at an emergency meeting of the Residents Doctors Association (RDA) here after expiry of the 2200 hrs deadline given to Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss for signing degrees.
''The deadline has expired and he has still not signed the degrees. Infact, his attitude towards our demands is very callous which is evident from the fact that despite our call for strike he is going out of Delhi tomorrow morning, oblivious to the hardships patients at AIIMS could face due to the strike.
