Pondy police recover 32 stolen motorcycles

Puducherry, Aug 29 (UNI) A special police team constituted to prevent vehicle thefts in the union territory seized 32 stolen motorcycles worth Rs.4.2 lakh.

Talking to newsmen here this evening, Senior Superintendent of Police Chaya Sharama said three persons were arrested in connection with this case.

While 27 motorcycles stolen from the Grand Bazaar Circle were recovered from Thangarasu (56) of Ulundurpet and Vianayagam of Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu, five motorcycles stolen in Orleanpet and Reddiyarpalayam Police Limits were seized from Anbu (35) of Karuvadikuppam.

The special team would continue with the exercise,she added.
