Naxals loot cash from SBI van in Chhattisgarh

Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Aug 29 (UNI) Armed Maoists today looted Rs 2 lakh from a State Bank of India vehicle near Mordupal village on the Bijapur-Bhopalapattanam road in Bastar division, police said.

The staff was carrying cash from the Bijapur branch to Bhopalapattanam when the naxals intercepted the vehicle. Later, the rebels torched the van but left the staff unharmed.

Ultras torched a State Electricity Board vehicle on the Bijapur-Awapalli road.
