Kidwai condoles death of Banarsi Dass Gupta

Chandigarh, Aug 29 (UNI) Haryana Governor A R Kidwai has condoled the sad demise of former Haryana Chief Minister Banarsi Dass Gupta at New Delhi last night after a prolonged illness.

In a condolence message here, the Governor said that Mr Gupta was a freedom fighter, able Parliamentarian and the man of masses. He had the qualities of head and heart and showed his caliber while holding the posts of Speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha and Chief Minister and other posts in the party.

Dr Kidwai conveyed his heart-felt condolences to the bereaved family.
