Govt personnel suspended for dereliction in flood relief

Darbhanga, Aug 29 (UNI) The district administration today suspended two revenue personnel for dereliction of duty during flood relief work.

District Magistrate Upendra Sharma here stated that revenue employee of Alinagar circle Shailendra Singh and another employee of Baheri revenue circle Shivaji Mahto were suspended for their slackness in discharging duties in relief work among flood victims.

''Both the suspended personnel were facing charges of non-cooperation with senior officers in identifying the affected families for government assistance announced for flood victims in the area,'' he said.

''The lackadaisical approach of these employees led to discrepancies in the list of families selected for extending government assistance,'' Mr Sharma pointed out.
