2 Uzbek girls among three rescued by police
Mumbai, Aug 29 (UNI) Three girls, including two Uzbekistan nationals, were rescued by the social service branch (SSB) of the city police last night from a bungalow at Pali Hill in Bandra here from the custody of three pimps.
The SSB sleuths received information that a prostitution racket was in operation through a website which mentioned a mobile phone number and a contact person by the name Nafees.
A police officer, posing as a decoy customer, dialled the number and was asked to meet Nafees at a certain place on Bandra Link road. Nafees then escorted the police officer to Pali Hill in an autorickshaw.
The other sleuths followed them and raided the bungalow where the police officer, posing as a customer, was taken. Following.
Nafees, along with Kailash Yadav and Rajesh Paswan, were arrested by the police from the spot. Police also recovered Rs 12,200 incash and two mobile phones from the accused.
The trio was produced before the court of additional chief metropolitan magistrate S Y Shisode who remanded them in police custody till September 12. The girls have been sent to a remand home in Chembur till September 5.
