Vinayak, Leena bag Inter-institutional badminton titles

Bangalore, Aug 28 (UNI) LIC celebrated a grand double today with its shuttlers Naga Vinayak and Leena Dhapre bagging the titles in men's and women's singles respectively in the Inter Institutional Badminton Championships organised by Canara Bank.

Both finals proved to be a one sided affair with Vinayak defeating team-mate Jaison Xavier 21-6, 21-13, while Leena overcame Jyothi Swaroopa of BSNL at 21-16, 21-14.

Vinayak completed a fine double by winning the doubles event by partnering Xavier. The LIC duo defeated Kishore Kumar and Soumen B of BSNL 21-16, 21-16.
