Vijay Shanthi to institute national award for architects

Mumbai, Aug 28 (UNI) Vijay Shanthi Builders here has proposed to institute an annual ''National Award for Architectural Creative Excellence'' to recognise innovative and imaginative architects and rekindle memoryes of its founder V C Jain.

Vijay Shanthi managing director Suresh Jain said, ''We have always wanted to encourage young and creative minds in the architecture industry.'' Threre were plans to honour the best young creative architect in the country annually, he said adding that the awardee would be identified with the help of the print media and entries be judged by some of the leading architects in the country.
