UP minister blames Mulayam govt for power crisis

Mainpuri, Aug 28 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh power minister Ramvir Upadhyay blamed the ''wrong policies'' of the Mulayam Singh Yadav government for the prevailing power crisis in the state.

Talking to newspersons here yesterday, Mr Upadhyay claimed that the Samajwadi Party did nothing to augment power generation in UP.

He said the ruling Mayawati regime had put the power sector on high priority and power generation had been augmented ''In the next six months, the power situation would improve,''he added.
