Hyderabad, Aug 28 (UNI) The forensic report on the alleged rape of eleven tribal women by police personnel engaged in anti-naxal operations was reportedly sent to the Visakhapatnam district administration and the referral Government King George Hospital for further action.

Officials, however, remained tight-lipped about the forensic report. It was said the Chief Minister had examined the report, before sending it.

The samples taken by the doctors from the women at King George Hospital were sent here for forensic tests.

It may be recalled here that policemen engaged in anti-naxal operations had allegedly raped the tribal women to coerce them to divulge information about naxalites at Vakapalli village of Visakhapatnam district and took their husbands into custody.

Media reports of the gruesome incident had shocked political parties, NGOs, revolutionary outfits and women's organisations, who launched a blistering attack on the Government and demanded a judicial inquiry.

The police, however, maintained that this was a ploy of the ultras to stop combing operations and denied that any rape had occurred.
