Tata Motors appoints new Ind Non-Exe Dir

New Delhi, Aug 28: Country's largesty automobile company Tata Motors today said it has appointed Dr R A Mashelkar as an Independent Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Dr Mashelkar is currently the President of Indian National Science Academy (INSA), National Innovation Foundation, Institution of Chemical Engineers, UK and Global Research Alliance, a network of 60,000 scientists from five continents.

Prior to this, he served as the Director General of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), with thirty eight laboratories and about 20,000 employees for over 11 years.
