Rice Festival at Dimapur from Dec 11-15

Kohima, Aug 28: The Nagaland government has decided to organise 'Rice Festival' at Dimapur from December 11-15 to celebrate the culmination of the ongoing 'Year of the Farmers'.

Official sources here today said a show will be organised depicting rice bio-diversity and cultivators, besides, various rice varieties and their by-products would be exhibited for sale in the festival.

The main participants would the Department of Agriculture and Allied Departments, sources informed.

All eleven the districts of the state involving all the 16 tribes of Nagas would participate in the festival.

Besides, all North Eastern state governments, Central government, institutes and business houses were expected to participate in the festival.
