Prince of Arcot on Ajmer Dargah Panel

Chennai, Aug 28 (UNI) Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali was appointed as a member of the nine-member Ajmer Dargah Committee, a statutory body of the Union Government under the Dargah Khwaja Saheb Act, 1955.

A gazette notification was issued for the same on August 24, an official release said.

The newly constituted committee was expected to prevent large scale encroachment and unauthorised occupation on the dargah premises and maintain congenial atmosphere there.

It will also enhance the existing facilities and amenities for the benefit of those who visit the shrine of Khwaja Garibnawaz. The tenure of the committee is five years.
