Peace or Perish-There is no other choice: Dada Vaswani
Kolkata, Aug 28 (UNI) Personal happiness can only be achieved by making others happy, spiritual leader Dada J P Vaswani said.
A day after Mother Teresa's 97th birth anniversary, at the launch of his book ''Peace or Perish'' yesterday, Dada Vaswani stressed the same message that she not only spoke of but lived through her life.
Dada Vaswani, a disciple of Sadhu T L Vaswani, followed in the footsteps of his Guru and spoke of love and respect for all mankind and living beings, tolerance and understanding for all people of all nations, class, creed, colour and religion.
A true believer in ''I am no one's master but a servant to all,'' JP Vaswani, whom people call Dadaji, is a powerful orator who has been to many countries to spread the message of eastern spirituality and combine it with Western Science to fashion a comprchensive philosophy of life.
The author of over 60 inspirational books, most of which have been translated into several languages worldwide, Dada Vaswani has, through his newly launched book, spoken of tolerance for all living beings, understanding of people of all nations and religions, love for all mankind and respect for each and every creation of the Almighty.
''Peace may be fragile and vulnerable, but peace is possible and peace is attainable, even in a turbulent world like ours,'' he noted.
Dada, an educationist, philosopher and a humanist, said he was ''but a simple pilgrim, a vagabond moving wherever God takes me to be servant to others who need me.'' Highlighting on Gandhian non-violence, he said, ''We must non-violently non-cooperate with War.'' He said we can prevent wars and violence of all kinds by stopping all killings, no matter what kind of living beings they may be.
''War is not a necessary evil, it is an unnecessary and evil. We can stop all killings and bring the whole world towards being one world in peace among all nations and harmony among all men on earth,'' he said.
Others present on the occasion included Head of Missionaries of Charity Sister Nirmala, West Bengal Mayor Bikas Ranjan Bhattacharya, Mizoram Governor Lt Gen Madan Mohan Lakhera, Calcutta High Court judge Asim Roy and Swami Sarvolokananda of the Ramkrishna Mission Seva Pratishtan.
