Naidu, actor Balakrishna visit Tirumala

Tirumala (Andhra Pradesh), Aug 28: Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu today offered prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Temple here along with his newly-wed son and daughter-in-law.

Mr Naidu's son Lokesh and actor Balakrishna's daughter Brahmani were married in a grand ceremony in Hyderabad on August 26.

He and Mr Balakrishna arrived here by a special flight along with their family members yesterday.

They were received at the temple by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Joint Executive Officer G Balaramaiah and Deputy Executive Officer Prabhakar Reddy before proceeding for darshan this morning.

After participating in the sevas, they left for Naravarapalli in Chandragiri Mandal of Chittoor district, the native place of Naidu, where a grand reception had been arranged.

In view of the twin blasts in Hyderbad, police made tight security arrangements from Alipiri to Chandragiri and also at the venue of the reception where a metal detector had been installed.
