K'taka: Mild tremor in parts of city

Mysore, Aug 28: The northern and eastern parts of the city experienced a mild tremor this evening and panicked people rushed out of the house.

The mild tremor occurred at 1710 hrs and some residents came out from their houses since fans and household articles shaked for few seconds.

However, Deputy Commissioner Channappa Gowda said he had not received any information, adding that he would contact the Geological Department to know about the facts.

Officials of Agricultural Research Centre at Naganahalli near here said they had received many phone calls in this regard.
