Mega mewa-masala shopping festival in Mumbai

Mumbai, Aug 28 (UNI) Mewa-Masala Merchant's Association has organised Himadri Masala sponsored ''Mewa-Masala Mega Shopping Festival'' starting August 25 to November 14 at Masjid Bunder in south Mumbai.

All the shops will be decorated and will be distinguished by festive banners. There will be special illumination on these roads during the 20 days of the festival.

Customer will get one lucky coupon on each purchase of Rs 500 during the festival. A bumper lucky draw will be held on November 14, in the presence of all shopkeepers and eminent persons from diverse fields. In all, 500 prizes worth of Rs 11 lakh will be given to the lucky customers during the festival.

Mumbai Mewa-Masala Merchant's Association President Ramesh Savla informed, ''Masjid Bunder's mewa-masala market is 200-years old. The retail customers are getting the benefit of semi-wholesale prices in this market. So, the customers can purchase goods not only at a price 30 per cent lower, when compared to shopping malls or super markets, but also get much better quality.'' It has been the tradition of Masjid Bunder market to sell best quality as well as fresh products in wide range to its customers.

In addition, customers have an opportunity to win prizes on every purchase during the festival.
