Major shake-up in AIADMK organisational set up

Chennai, Aug 28: In a major revamp of the party's organisational set up, AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa today stripped party Treasurer and her close friend Sasikala's nephew T T V Dinakaran, MP, of the post.

Ms Jayalalithaa replaced Mr Dinakaran with former Minister and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Tamil Nadu Assembly O Panneerselvam, a party release here said.

Another former Minister, M Thambidurai, who had been sidelined in the party after he was sacked from her Cabinet two years ago, was appointed Propaganda Secretary in place of Mr Edapadi K Palanisamy.

Former Minister and Fishermen Wing Secretary D Jayakumar was appointed Secretary of the All World MGR Manram and former Assembly Speaker and Minority Wing Secretary P H Pandian as Organising Secretary, the release said.

Mr Justin Selvaraj and Mr K K Kalaimani would henceforth be the Secretaries of Minorities wing and Fishermen wing respectively, the release added.
