Contiloe Pictures to launch animation film 'Mahayoddha Rama'
Mumbai, Aug 28 (UNI) Contiloe Pictures, a division of Contiloe Films, is launching its film initiative with an animation film called ''Mahayoddha Rama''.
The film, which has been under production for the past six months, is written by Ashok Banker whose re-rendition of the Ramayana in six novels has given him huge acclaim and recognition. Javed Akhtar is the lyricist of the film while Aadesh Srivastav is doing the music score.
Speaking to reporters today, Abhimanyu Singh, who is the producer of the film and CEO of Contiloe, said, ''This is a re-rendition of the Rama versus Ravana story. Animation, though a current hot potato, reaches and cuts through all barriers and Rama is the biggest icon of a resurging India. Voices from the industry are being actively pursued to give this animation feature, quality and quantity.'' The film would hit theatres in 2008.
