K'taka: CM urges farmers to cooperate with govt
Mangalore, Aug 28: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy today appealed to the farmers in the state to cooperate with the government to attract more investments in the industries.
Speaking after laying the foundation stones for various development works here, he said the farmers, who would loose their land due to various projects, should cooperate with the administration for the economic and industrial progress of the region.
He said there was need for proper dialogue between the investors and the farmers before acquisition of lands and acquisition process should start only after this.
He said the government was seriously thinking on the Rs 144 crore Paschima Vahini project for construction of vented dams.
