Jharkhand: Cancer hospital in Ranchi by early 2008

Ranchi, Aug 28: With an aim to provide better medical facility for cancer treatment, city-based Sayed Ansari Consultancy(SAC) hospital management and consultancy services, in collaboration with Banglore-based HCG Limited, would open a cancer institute here by Janauary next year.

The hospital being built at Irba here would have the facilities of 6/15 MVE with IGMRT and latest treatment technologies.

The SAC group has tied-up with a UK-based healthcare service provider, AOC International to provide advance and high end training for the doctors and paramedical staff of cancer hospital.

Speaking on the training and services, Mr Khurshid Alam, Healthcare Commissioner and Managing Director of AOC International said that world class training to Physicists and Radiotherapists along with other key persons of the hospital would be given to make the hospital a centre of excellence.

Mr Alam said the cancer institute would be first of its kind in eastern India.
