Agartala, Aug 28 (UNI) Tripura unit of BJP's youth front Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM) today burnt down the national flags of Bangladesh and Pakistan here protesting against Saturday's twin blasts in Hydrabad.

Party leaders lambasted the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre and flayed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for ''not uttering strong words'' against both the countries despite ''knowing about their involvement'' in heinous crimes in India.

The leaders alleged that Bangladesh and Pakistan had been trying to damage the Indian secular fabric for long.

Addressing the rally here, BJYM leaders condemned the blasts and demanded the resignation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

''It is the result of minority appeasement policy pursued by the Congress-led government,'' they alleged, adding, ''the government should take firm steps to avoid reservations based on religion and community.'' They also pointed out that fundamentalist organisations in Bangladesh and Pakistan were ''trying to create'' fissures between Muslims and Hindus in India who had been living peacefully in several parts of the country but ''unfortunately, the Indian authority has been showing soft attitude towards them''.

The BJP leaders blamed the union government for ''utterly failing'' to take precautionary measures to avert such subversive acts in the country.
