BJP to move adjournment motion in L S on Hyderabad blasts
New Delhi, Aug 28 (UNI) The BJP will move an Adjournment Motion in the Lok Sabha tomorrow on Hyderabad blasts, in which more than 40 people were killed, and to highlight the failure of the UPA Government in handling terror in the country.
BJP Parliamentary Party Spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra said the party will submit its motion to Lok Sabha Speaker tomorrow seeking a discussion on the issue. ''The House is scheduled to discuss the price rise and it is upto the Speaker to decide how to adjust the two issues for debate,'' Mr Malhotra said.
He said the Opposition would target the repeated failure of the Government in handling a series of terror attacks across the country right from the serial blasts in Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi and now Hyderabad. ''The Prime Minister was only issuing instructions to the investigating agencies not to target a particular community,'' he said.
The party would also question the rationale behind India discussing confidence building measures with Pakistan while Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajashekhara Reddy was claiming that the perpetrators of the Hyderabad blasts had roots in Pakistan and Bangladesh, Mr Malhotra said.
Regarding the statement of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha L K Advani that the BJP was not against Indo-US Nuclear deal, the senior party leader maintained that it was the ''party line throughout''.
''Even I had announced that the BJP was not opposed to the deal, if India reserves the right to conduct nuclear test,'' he pointed out.
He said former External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha too had argued for renegotiating the 123 Agreement with the US to remove certain anomalies and that was what Mr Advani had reiterated, he said.
