Bar Associations calls Western Orissa bandh on Aug 31

Sambalpur, Aug 28 (UNI) Bar Associations all over Western Orissa have called a bandh in the region on August 31 to intensify their demand for a high court bench in the region.

Sambalpur District Bar Association President R N Badhai said a bench of the high court was needed in Western Orissa for the greater interest of the poor people of the region.

He claimed that all the Bar Associations of Western Orissa have extended their full support for the proposed bandh.

Political parties, cutting across party lines have agreed to support the bandh call, Mr Badhai said.
