Badal urges administration to be courteous to ex-servicemen

Chandigarh, Aug 28 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has asked the State Chief Secretary to direct the District Administration and all the heads of the departments to extend due courtesy and respect towards ex-servicemen.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Punjab Government said that it was often brought to the notice of the Chief Minister that district authorities as well as the heads of the departments neither gave due respect to ex-servicemen nor view their problems with due concern and importance.

The Chief Minister asked the Chief Secretary to instruct the state officers to respectfully listen to the grievances of both the serving defence personnel as well as the ex-servicemen and spare no efforts for their early redressal.
