AP CM reviews arrangements for Jatra festival beginning Feb 20

Hyderabad, Aug 28 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today directed the officials to complete the arrangements soon for Sammakka, Saralamma Jathra festival at Medaram village in Warangal District from February 20 to 23, 2008.

Reviewing the present status of arrangements with Ministers and senior officials here, Dr Reddy said the Government would provide necessary facilities to the pilgrims.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials to rectify the shortcomings experienced in previous jatharas and ensure provision for health, sanitation and drinking water facilities to the pilgrims.

About 70-lakh people were expected to attend the state festival.
