123 members of divided families cross border at Poonch

Jammu, Aug 28 (UNI) As many as 123 persons from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Jammu and Kashmir crossed border at the Chakkan- da- Bagh Line of Control (LoC) point in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said here today.

Total 61 civilians, including 29 J&K resident who left for PoK to meet their relatives for the first time after 1947, crossed the border and entered Pakistani territory, administrative sources said.

Similarly, 62 persons, including 36 fresh visitors from PoK made a headway for this side last evening when the border was opened, sources added.

Several senior civil and police officers from both the sides facilitated the exchange process at the Chakkan- da- Bagh LoC point which was closed at 1900 hrs.
