Tokyo stocks up 1 pct as Sony, exporters gain

TOKYO, Aug 27 (Reuters) The Nikkei average rose 1.1 percent on Monday with high-tech exporters such as Sony Corp gaining ground following a jump on Wall Street and a softer yen.

The Nikkei was up 180.04 points at 16,429.01 as of 0001 GMT, while the broader TOPIX index added 1 percent to 1,602.26.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's cabinet reshuffle is set for later in the day.
