Mumbai: Silver, gold open low

Mumbai, Aug 27: Value of spot silver and gold today opened softer as silver slipped by Rs 60 per kg and gold by Rs 15 per ten gm on weaker global advice, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following are the opening rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg).999 fineness grade: Rs 17,025, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 8,895, Gold 99.9 purity pure Gold : Rs 8,945.
