Relatives of accident victim take corpse to Assembly

Puducherry, Aug 27 (UNI) Tension prevailed at the Legislative Assembly area today as some people held a demonstration before it with a dead body to press their demand.

According to police, Karthik (21) and Kamal(19),brothers working in a private industry at Thiruvandarkoil, near here, met with an accident last night.

They were brought to the government general hospital where Karthik died this morning.

Claiming Karthik died due to wrong treatment, his relatives seized the body and brought it to the Assembly demanding action against the doctor who treated him.

Police rushed to the spot and held talks with the agitators who then dispersed. The body was sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
