Infovision plans expansion; will invest Rs 300 cr

New Delhi, Aug 27: Infovision, a BPO services provider, will invest Rs 300 crore and hire about 16,000 professionals in the next three years as part of its expansion plan. The company aims at five-fold growth in revenues by 2010.

"We will invest Rs 300 crore by 2010 to expand our infrastructure and employing people," Infovision President Aditya Gupta told PTI.

The company, which is headquartered in Delhi, would increase its number of employees to 25,000 by 2010 from 9,000 currently in 23 offices across the country, he said.

Infovision is also targeting revenues of Rs 1,000 crore in the next three years from Rs 200 crore now.

It has also set up a Do Not Call Registry in accordance with TRAI guidelines and would be operational by September 1.
He said the company had invested over Rs 10 crore in setting up DNCR, which would serve its 52 clients such as HSBC, HDFC and ABN-AMRO among others.

A National Do Not Call Registry, registration to which will eliminate unsolicited telemarketing phone calls, is likely to be set up by September 5, according to official information.

Cell-phone users can register their numbers with the registry from September five if they do not want to be disturbed by telemarketing calls.
Telecom regulator TRAI had issued regulation on unsolicited commercial calls in June.

Infovision serves customers in verticals including telecom, banking, hospitality, FMCG and airlines.

"In coming months, we will focus on new emerging areas -- retail, pharmaceuticals and healthcare," Gupta added
