India's wedding industry $800 billion market

New Delhi, Aug 27: Marriages may be made in heaven but the heavenly affair has to celebrated right here on earth – and in style.

As a roaring economy swells the ranks of the rich, weddings have become a prime occasion for the Indians to show off their fortunes. Currently, the Indian wedding market is worth over 800 billion and is growing by at least 25 percent per annum.
