Goods worth Rs 70 lakh gutted in a fire at Pune

Pune, Aug 27 (UNI) A major fire in the godowns of leading retailers destroyed goods worth approximately Rs 70 lakh in the Kondhwa area here today.

Fire brigade sources said the fire brokeout at 0515 hrs in the godowns of Spencers, Big Bazzar and Home Solution. It was brought under control after 5 hours, with the help of around nine fire tenders and eihgt water tankers, they added.

The cause of fire is being investigated, police said.
