Mumbai, Aug 27 (UNI) AREVA Transmission&Distribution (T&D), a transmission and distribution technology solution provider in India, has bagged its first turn-key AIS sub-station contract from ESSAR for its steel project at a value of Rs 63 crore.

ESSAR's 3.9 million tone per annum expansion project at Hazira entails the complete design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 220 kV switchyard on turn-key basis and also the supply of 160 MVA, 220 kV, 90 MVA, and 220 kV power transformers, the company said here today in a statement.

Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co Ltd (MSETCL) has also placed its first Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) complete turn-key solutions order on AREVA T&D India at the value of Rs 34 crore.

This project endeavours to improve the power quality and reliability for the Infotech city, Pune. The scope includes turn-key execution of the 132/22/11 kV Rasthapeth Substation, the company statement added.
