Jaipur, Aug 26 (UNI) The Rajasthan State Women's Commission has expressed its dissappointment over the Vasundhara Raje Government's attitude towards its recommendations and demanded to expand scope of the government' pension schemes for the needy women.

Participating in an interaction programme organised by Journalists Association of Rajasthan(JAR) here last evening, Commission Chairperson Ms Tara Bhandhari said the Rajasthan Government has presently been providing pensions to poor widows, aged women and divorced or otherwise separated wives.

However, the commission had urged the state government to expand the scope of these schemes to cover all needy and helpless women who do not have financial support from family.

Accordingly, the commission had sent its report to the state government but the later had expressed its inability. The commision had again written to the state government about a month ago.

Ms Bhandhari said that the state government should be more generous towards women's issues and should amend the rules, if neeed, to address their needs.

She said that her commission was doing its best to resolve women's problems and to generate awareness for their due rights and previleges.
