Woman accuses Swaminarayan sadhus of rape
Ahmedabad, Aug 26 (UNI) A twenty-year-old woman has filed a complaint against three sadhus of the Swaminarayan sect for allegedly raping her in Gadhada town in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat.
According to police, the woman, in her complaint, said she was lured by one Mukundswami of Gadhada, who promised to get her a job in the PTC College. The woman was called to Gadhada, where she was allegedly gang-raped on July 27 by Mukundswami and two of his accomplices.
''The identity of only one accused, Mukundswami, has been disclosed, while the two were not named as the woman did not know them,'' a senior police official told UNI.
''We have registered a case against Mukundswami and two others, who are absconding,'' said the official.
