Ten villagers injured in group clash in village

Phagwara, Aug 26 (UNI) Ten villagers including village a panchayat member sustained injuries in a violent group clash in nearby Khera village last night, police today said.

The injured including panchayat member Chaman Lal were admitted in the local civil hospital.Old enimity was said to be the cause of clash. Police has registered a case.

In another incident police has registered a case under sections 307/353/186/382/511/34 IPC against two persons on the charges of attacking cops while they were on the checking duty near Bhaghana village last night.

In yet another incident, five members of a family were allegedly attacked and seriously wounded by a group of masked faces assailants in Bilga village last night.

The injured Darshan Ram, Sat Paul, Amarjit, Swaran Chand and Narinder Pal were admitted in a local hospital in a critical state.

The assailants used swords in the attack. Police has registered a case, but no arrests had been made.
