Shivraj Patil condemns blasts; to visit Hyderabad tomorrow

New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil tonight condemned the Hyderabad twin blasts which killed at least 37 people and injured over 70.

The Minister will leave for Hyderabad tomorrow to take stock of the situation.

The Ministry has decided to send Special Secretary M L Kumawat to asses the situation and provide all possible assistance to the state government, Mr Patil said.

Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta has held meeting with the senior Intelligence Bureau officials to discuss the crisis.

The Minister of State for Home Shri Prakash Jaiswal also condemned the blasts saying it is the handiwork of those who were working against security and integrity of the country.

He said Home Ministry and State Government are trying to figure out who was involved in ghastly act. He, however, said it was very difficult to name anyone for the blasts.

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry will hold a meeting tomorrow to identify the groups involved.
