Shaking hand with Dutt leads to one supension, notices to 8
Mumbai, Aug 26 (UNI) A jail guard of Yerawada Jail in Pune was suspended for shaking hands with actor Sanjay Dutt, after the latter was released on interim bail granted by the Supreme court.
The administrative action was taken within three days after the footage was telecast on news channels, showing the policeman at Yerawada Jail shaking hands with the actor while he was walking out of the jail, along with his relatives. The actor, sentenced to six-year RI by a TADA court in the 1993 bomb blasts in Mumbai, was lodged in the jail.
The state Home Minister's office has identified the jail guard as Milind Dandi. Show cause notice has also been served on eight others.
