Political parties condemn twin terror blasts in Hyderabad
New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) A day after two powerful bomb blasts in Hyderabad killed over 40 people and left scores injured, political parties said the government must identify the terrorists and take pre-emptive steps to suppress them.
The Communist Party of India (Marxist) said the horrific attack underlined how certain terrorist groups were working to disrupt normal life and communal harmony.
''The culprits responsible for this outrage must be caught and brought to book,'' said a statement issued by its politbureau as information poured in pointing towards the involvement of international terrorist organisations in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
The CPI(M) condemned the twin blasts last evening and expressed sympathy for all those who lost their family members and to those who suffered injuries.
''Since Hyderabad witnessed a bomb attack in a mosque recently, it is important that the government and security agencies identify and take pre-emptive steps to suppress such elements,'' it said.
The CPI's central secretariat too said the government should leave no stone unturned to book the perpetrators of this crime.
''This is another dastardly and cowardly act of terrorists criminals after the Mecca Masjid incident who every time choose a spot where common people congregate,'' it said as authorities sounded a red alert throughout Andhra Pradesh and other southern states and all entry and exit points were being searched.
