Meghalaya police arrests ANLFA cadre

Shillong, Aug 26 (UNI) An Achik National Liberation Front Army (ANLFA) outfit cadre has been arrested from Meghalaya's Ri-Bhoi district yesterday, police today said.

Police said the arrested militant was a close associate of ANLFA leader Nobin Marak.

In 2005, Nobin Marak, along with a few ANVC cadres, including Rakting, had deserted the ANVC camp and formed the ANLFA, police said.

Meanwhile, the arrested militant was being interrogated, police added.
